Flowers attended NSU University School. As a sophomore in 2017, he caught 45 passes for 883 yards and 10 touchdowns. He helped lead NSU University School to a 10-3 record and a state semifinal appearance in the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) Class 4A playoffs.
In his junior year in 2018, he continued to excel on the football field. He caught 42 passes for 955 yards and 13 touchdowns, earning him first-team All-Broward County honours and second-team All-State recognition by the FHSAA. He also helped lead University School to an 11-2 record and a berth in the FHSAA Class 4A regional finals.
In addition, he had a phenomenal senior year in 2019, catching 77 passes for 1,266 yards and 21 touchdowns. He was named the Class 4A Player of the Year by the FHSAA and was a first-team All-State selection. In addition, he was also named the Broward County 5A-1A Player of the Year and a finalist for Florida’s Mr Football award.
Additionally, he was considered one of the top high school football players in Florida during his time at University School. Moreover, he finished his high school career with 164 receptions for 3,104 yards and 44 touchdowns.
Boston College
He continued his football career at Boston College after a successful high school career at University School in Florida. During his freshman season in 2019, he played in all 13 games for the Boston College Eagles. He finished the season with 25 receptions for 341 yards and 3 touchdowns. Flowers showed flashes of his potential throughout the season, including a breakout performance against NC State where he caught 7 passes for 101 yards and 2 touchdowns.

In his sophomore season in 2020, he continued to improve and establish himself as one of the top receivers in the ACC. He played in 11 games and finished the season with 892 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns on 56 receptions. He set numerous records during his time at Boston College, including first in career touchdowns, receptions, and receiving yards.
