On 6 August 2020, the authorities arrested Yasmin Sait Armstrong Morillo’s late husband. The authorities then charged him with sexual battery upon a woman. In December 2019, Yasmin’s late husband was working together with his accuser as DJs. It was at a private party on Star Island in Miami Beach. Later on, the two went to Erick’s Miami Beach home.
Erick’s accuser told the detectives that she got drunk and passed out alone in a bedroom. But when she woke up, later on, she found herself nude and also found Erick standing beside her, also nude. Following Erick’s accuser’s statement, the authorities performed a rape kit test on the woman. The result came out positive for Yasmin’s late husband’s DNA.
Although Erick denied the accusation, the producer turned himself in to the police. This was on 6 August 2020. Subsequently, Yasmin’s late husband was due to appear in court on 4 September 2020. However, he was found dead at his home on 1 September 2020.

Following the Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner’s preliminary report released on 13 October 2020, Yasmin’s husband died accidentally of acute ketamine toxicity. Some contributing factors to the producer’s untimely demise were MDMA and cocaine use.
