Todd Gurley(Todd Jerome Gurley II) is an American professional football athlete who is currently a free agent. Todd Gurley plays the running back position in football.
Early Life
Todd Gurley was born on the 3rd of August, 1994, in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. Likewise, he is 27 years old. He was born to parents Todd Gerome Gurley and Darlene Simmons.
Todd grew up with four siblings- Princeton, Davon, Shannon, and Tarik. As Todd is a private person, there’s no other information on his family. He enrolled in Tarboro High School, in Tarboro, North Carolina.
Early years
Todd was a three-sport star during his high school days as he played basketball, soccer, and track. He played running back and defensive back positions for his high school team.
Todd recorded 1,472 rushing yards and 26 touchdowns, as well as 79 tackles, an interception, and a forced fumble in his junior year.
He was awarded Rocky Mount Telegram All-Area Offensive Player of the Year for his performance in the 2010 season.
Todd was the North Carolina Associated Press Player of the Year with 38 touchdowns and 2,600 yards in his senior year.
He also helped his high school beat Lincolnton High School in the championship game and win the 2A North Carolina state championship.
He also had four touchdowns and 242 rushing yards that game.
Todd was an outstanding sprinter and hurdler for his high school’s track and field team. In the 2011 World Youth Championships, he participated in the 110-meter for Team USA.
In the prelims, Todd recorded his personal best time of 13.66 seconds and came 3rd. He finished 15th overall in the competition.
Todd was rated as a four-star recruit by Rivals.com and ranked as the fifth-best running back in his class.

Todd Gurley – College Career
Freshman Season
Todd Gurley attended the University of Georgia after graduating from high school. He was backup to redshirt sophomore player Ken Malcome in his freshmen season.
In his first game at the against Buffalo Bulls, he recorded 100 yards on eight carries, including two rushing touchdowns.
Todd quickly took over as a starter in the second game of the season against SEC East opponent Missouri. He had 65 running yards on 10 carries in the 41–20 victory.
During the game against Georgia Southern, Todd also became the second true freshman in Georgia’s history to record 1000 rushing yards, the only other being Herschel Walker in 1980.
During the regular-season finale against rival Georgia Tech, he had two touchdowns and covered 97 rushing yards on 12 carries in the 42-10 victory.
Georgia placed 1st in SEC East and faced Alabama in the SEC Championship. Georgia lost to Alabama. Todd covered 122 rushing yards on 23 carries and also had two rushing touchdowns.
Todd started in 12 out of 14 games and had 1,385 rushing yards on 222 carries, including 17 rushing touchdowns in the 2012 season.
His 17 rushing touchdowns in a single season tied the record for third in the school’s history.
Likewise, Todd finished second in the SEC in rushing yards and he was also named the First-Team All-SEC by the Associated Press.
In 2012, He also became one of the two true freshman running backs to receive such honour, the other play was T. J. Yeldon.
Sophomore Season

He recorded 208 rushing yards on 28 carries and had two touchdowns in the victory against Tennessee on September 27.
Since Garrison Hearst inTodd’s todd’s 208 running yards mark was the most by a player in a single game in Georgia history.
Suspension
Todd Gurley was indefinitely suspended by the University of Georgia on October 9, 2014, for allegedly violating NCAA rules.
Todd received $3,000 in signed items and a signoverurse of two years, according to the investigation, which took two days.
He missed two games the before NCAA finalized and decided to suspend Todd for 4 games. Todd tore his ACL in his first game back from suspension on November 15, 2014,
and his collegiate career at the University of Georgia came to an end. He sat out for two more games before being able to play in the annual rivalry game.
He had nine running touchdowns and 911 rushing yards on 123 carries in the remaining six games of the 2014 season.
After his junior season, he decided to enter the 2015 NFL Draft. At the time of his departure, his 3,285 rushing yards and 36 rushing touchdowns ranked second in the school’s history.

Professional Career
Todd Gurley was selected 10th overall in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He was the highest running back drafted from the University of Georgia after Tim Worley in 1989.

He was also selected to the 2016 Pro Bowl and 2015 NFL All-Rookie Team on December 22, 2015.
Todd was one of the five rookies to be picked for the Pro Bowl. He was also named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and was ranked 22nd among the NFL’s Top 100 Players of 2016.

Falcons
Todd aned one year deal worth $5.5 million with the Atlanta Falcons on April 6, 2020.
The Falcons included a $2 million signing bonus and $500,000 incentives if in the future he records 13 touchdowns or 1,000 rushing yards.
Todd made his debut for the Falcons in a game the against Seattle Seahawks. He recorded 14 rushes for 56 yards.
Todd recorded 9 rushing touchdowns with 25 receptions for 164 receiving yards and 195 carries for 678 rushing yards in the 2020 season. He is a free agent as of 2022.
Personal Life
Todd is currently single. He used to be in a relationship with Olivia Davison. Todd met Olivia at the University of Georgia and started dating her. The couple broke off.
