Ted Danson began his acting career in 1975 on the NBC daytime drama “Somerset”, in which he portrayed a contract player. Moreover, he also appeared in several commercials as the character Aramis Man.
After that, he made his film debut as a cop in Harold Becker’s directed film “The Onion Field” in 1979. He appeared in his major role as Sam Malone on the NBC sitcom “Cheers” in the following year.
After that, he made guest appearances on shows like “BJ and the Bear”, “Benson”, “Taxi”, “Yucer’s Witch”, and “Family” till the early 80s.
