T.I. is an established American rapper, record producer, actor, and entrepreneur. T.I. is also recognized as the celebrity husband of singer Tameka “Tiny” Cottle.

Early Life and Childhood

T.I. was born on September 25, 1980, and he is currently 42 years old. He hails from Atlanta, Georgia, and his zodiac sign is Libra. Likewise, his birth name is Clifford Joseph Harris Jr. but is more popular by his stage name T.I. or Tip.

Talking about his family, his parents are his father Clifford “Buddy” Harris Sr., and his mother Violeta Morgan. But he grew up with his grandparents in the Center Hill neighborhood located in Atlanta. His father lived in New York City and he often visited his father there. Sadly, his father passed away due to Alzheimer’s disease.

He also has two siblings namely sister Lakeisha Harris and brother Brice Harris. Sadly, he lost his elder sister namely Precious Harris on 22 February 2019. Precious passed away due to a car accident.

Professionally, T.I. is a multi-talented personality. More precisely, he is a rapper, record producer, actor, and entrepreneur. People recognize him by his stage name T.I. or TIP.

In the year 1999, the rapper signed his 1st major-label record deal with LaFace – a subsidiary of Arista Records. Then in 2001, the rapper released his debut album called I’m SeriousThis was his only project with the aforementioned record label.

After leaving LaFace, he signed with Atlantic. Not long after this, the rapper formed his label imprint called Grand Hustle Records in the year 2003. Additionally, he formed P$C – a southern hip-hop group. People also recognize him as one of the pioneers of the hip-hop subgenre trap music. Other pioneers of this genre were the fellow Atlanta-based rappers Jeezy and Gucci Mane.

He is a 3-times Grammy Award winner. The rapper has 11 studio albums under his belt. Among them all, 7 of his albums reached #5 on the US Billboard 200 chart. Some popular hit songs of him. include Live Your Life and Whatever You Like.

The rapper gained further recognition in the year 2003. This was possible due to his 1st high-profile feature on Never Scared. It is a single by the fellow Atlanta-based rapper Bone Crusher. The same year, he released Trap Muzik. This album also included #40 songs like Rubber Band Man and Let’s Get Away among others.

Along with rapper Lil Wayne, he made his appearance on Soldier. It is Destiny’s Child’s international hit released in 2004. The same year, the rapper released another album Urban Legend. Later in 2008, his 6th album Paper Trail gained him further prominence and it also became the rapper’s most successful project.

In the year 2013, he starred in Robin Thicke’s single Blurred Lines alongside singer Pharrell Williams. Then in November of the same year, the rapper signed with Columbia Records. With Columbia, he released the album Paperwork in October 2014. Moreover, in February 2016, he and Roc Nation signed a distribution deal. Then in September 2018, the rapper signed a deal with Epic Records.

As an entrepreneur, he co-founded Grand Hustle Records in the year 2003. The other founding members with the rapper’s longtime business partner Jason Geter. Some remarkable personalities that have signed with this label are Iggy Azalea, Travis Scott, and B.o.B. among others.

Additionally, he is also an actor. He worked on films like Takers, Get Hard, ATL, and Identity Thief. Likewise, he also appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Ant-Man as well as its sequel.
