Susan Eileen Thatcher is a British-born. She was raised by her British parent in the United Kingdom. However, she has mixed ethnicity. Thatcher was born in the 1950s but her exact date of birth is unknown. Similarly, there is not much information about her childhood and family.

Career and Professional Life

Thatcher came to the limelight as the wife of two-time Grammy Award winner Palmer. Thus, her professional life was never a highlight. However, talking about her ex-husband, Robert Palmer started his musical journey in 1954. Back then he joined his first band The Mandrakes whilst still at Scarborough High School for Boys. A few years later he got into the band The Alan Bown Set which was a breakthrough for his career.

Palmer debuted his solo career in 1974 with the release of the album Sneakin’ Sally Through the Alley. With his solo career, Palmer released amazing numbers like Double Fun and Secrets that made it to the Billboard Top 50 and the Top 100.

Later in 1985, Palmer joined guitarist Andy Taylor and bassist John Taylor joined former Chic drummer Tony Thompson to form the Power Station. Their debut album eponymous album reached the Top 20 in the UK and the Top 10 in the US. But soon, Palmer left the band and restarted his solo career. He then released some of his all-time hit singles: “I Didn’t Mean to Turn You On”, “Addicted to Love” and “Simply Irresistible”,

Within a few years, the couple was blessed with their first child James Palmer born in 1978. They had their second child in 1979 and named her Jane Palmer.
