Regarding his career, Case was drafted in the third round of the 1995 NFL Draft and played quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals from 1995 to 1998, though he spent part of that time with the NFL Europe’s Barcelona Dragons.
Moreover, in 1999, he was signed as a free agent by both the Indianapolis Colts and the Baltimore Ravens, and in 2000, he became an unrestricted free agent with the Detroit Lions. In 1997, he appeared twice as a fill-in for injured starter Kent Graham. In 1999, he appeared in ten games for the Baltimore Ravens, starting four of them and winning two of them. However, his worst career performance came against the Kansas City Chiefs in October 1999, when he completed only 15 of 37 passes for 103 yards. Case signed with the Detroit Lions in 2000 as the primary backup quarterback to Charlie Batch.
