Steve Valiquette was born on the 20th of August 1977, in Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada. He holds Canadian nationality and belongs to a mixed ethnicity of French-Canadian descent. Valiquette made his NHL debut with the Rangers in 2003, and he also played for the Edmonton Oilers and the New York Islanders during his NHL career. In total, he played in 48 NHL games, posting a record of 12-16-4.
Post Career
After leaving the NHL, he played in various European leagues, including the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) in Germany and the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). Moreover, he retired from professional hockey in 2012 and has since worked as a goaltending coach and analyst.
