Sonya Eddy is a late American actress, voice artist, and expert nurse. Sonya Eddy is best known for portraying the role of Epiphany Johnson in the American ABC soap opera “General Hospital” (2006—2022) and also has received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for the role.

Sonya Eddy is a late American actress who passed away at the age of 56 years old. She was born on the 17th of June 1967, in Concord, California, the United States of America. According to the astrological chart, she has a zodiac sign of Gemini and has her belief in Christianity religion. In addition, she belongs to a mixed ethnicity of Southern, Texan, West Indian, African, Jamaican, and South African descent.
She was born to her parents Robert Lee Eddy (father) and Ozetta Castleberry (mother). By profession, her father was an Air Force man. She grew up with six siblings whose names are Risha Jone, Nikki, Christopher, SirPatrick, Phillop, and Phill Castleberry. During her college years, Sonya Eddy made her stage debut in the West Coast premiere of “Zora, Is My Name!” in the year in 1990. Later, she appeared in several recurring roles on ‘”ER,” “Joan of Arcadia,” “Seinfeld,” and others.
She was a series regular on Martin Short’s “Primetime Glick” and made her professional debut in “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.” Sonya also appeared on primetime shows such as “In Case of Emergency,” “Daybreak,” “Reba,” and many others. She is the only actor who has appeared on “ER” twice. “Coach Carter,” “Bad News Bears,” “Barbershop,” and “Surviving Christmas” are among her other notable performances.
Eddy began playing Epiphany Johnson on “General Hospital” regularly in 2006. She was also a regular cast member on “General Hospital: Night Shift” from 2007 to 2008. Moreover, she starred as Tammy in the truTV comedy series “Those Who Can’t” from 2016 to 2019.
