Early life

In 2011, Simone competed at the US Classic in Houston, Texas. Likewise, she finished in 3rd place all-around, winning first on vault. Later, Simone participated in the 2011 US Classic in Chicago, Illinois. Likewise, placed 20th all-around, and 5th on both balance beams. Thus, in 2012, she won first place all-around in the US Classic held in Huntsville, Texas.
This qualified for competition at the 2012 US National Championships. At the 2012 US Classic in Chicago, she also competed. Her performance at the 2012 US National Championships placed her third all-around. It selected her for the United States Gymnastic Junior Team.

Later, She was 2 ½ months too young to qualify for a spot on the 2012 Olympic team. In the 2013 American Cup, Simone made her senior-level international debut. Moreover, she finished second all-around behind her teammate. Also, she participated in the 2013 City of Jesolo Trophy.
Additionally, Simone won the titles for around, vault, floor exercise, and balance beam. In the 2013 US Classic, she performed poorly. Unfortunately, she injured her ankle while performing her floor routine. Likewise, Simone won the all-around title during the 2013 US National Championship.

She will contest the balance beam final on Tuesday. Therefore, she withdrew her name from the competition on Monday. The reason behind it was her mental health. Previously, Simone withdrew from the all-around event. Likewise, Jade Carey replaced Biles in an all-around event.
