Later, he worked at the Cuttings library, before helping a team of investigative journalists, and by night he was working on investigations into nuclear and weapons smuggling, and terrorism. In addition, he was studying the 1993 World Trade Center bombing at the age of 21 and cited his “fearlessness of youth” as a reason.

Moreover, he wrote a book called “The New Jackals: Ramzi Yousef, Osama bin Laden, and the Future of Terrorism,” which was published in 1998 and was the first book about Osama bin Laden, Ramzi Yousef, and al-Qaeda. This was a New York Times best-seller.

Following the 11 September 2001 attacks in the United States, Reeve became a media expert on terrorism as a result of his book. In 2003, he appeared in the television series “Meet the Stans,” and for the series, he has traveled to different parts of the world.

Reeve wrote and presented the documentary “House of Saud,” which was shot in Saudi Arabia, in 2004. Following that, he appeared in several shows, going throughout the world for the shows.

Reeve, along with Sir David Attenborough and other conservationists, serves on the WWF’s Council of Ambassadors, one of the world’s top environmental organizations.

He was commissioned by BBC Two in 2020 to broadcast his first UK-based travel program “Cornwall With Simon Reeve,” which was ordered alongside Incredible Journeys With Simon Reeve.

The latter will be a ‘look back’ presentation, comparable to Joanna Lumley’s Unseen Adventures or Michael Palin: Travels of a Lifetime (a show that had both Reeve and Lumley discussing the ex-Monty Python actor’s travels).

In 2020, it was revealed that Reeve would serve as Executive Producer for “The Balkans” (2020), an Amazon Prime-distributed online television series.
