Biography
Sedat Peker was born Reis Sedat Peker on June 26, 1971, in Adapazarı, Sakarya, Turkey. His age is currently 52 years old (as of 2023). However, there are no details about his parents and other family members.
He holds Turkish nationality and is of mixed ethnic background. He follows the Christian religion and was born under the birth sign Cancer. Parker was acquitted of the 1997 drug trafficker Abdullah Topçu murder charge. The two additional defendants in the same case, who were allegedly Peker’s employees, received life sentences.
Later, he fled to Romania and was sought after for crimes like protection racketeering, coercion, and encouraging murder, among others. In this period, it was reported that Peker had received assurances from a minister and a lawmaker from the Motherland Party that he would only serve a brief sentence in prison in exchange for an undisclosed favor.
Furthermore, Peker was brought to Turkey of his own free will and turned himself into the authorities on August 17, 1998. He was the target of a September 1998 prosecution. He was found guilty of creating a criminal organization after entering a plea of guilty to the charges against him.

Furthermore, he was taken into custody as part of Operation Butterfly on May 12, 2005. He was sentenced to 14 years and five months in prison on January 31, 2007, after being found guilty of founding and supervising a criminal organization, robbery, forgery, and two counts of false imprisonment. Peker married his attorney, Zge Ylmaz, on May 30, 2008, while he was still a prisoner.
Peker is said to be a part of the secret Turkish group Ergenekon. In 2008, Veli Küçük claimed Peker was the “son of a friend.” Peker was given a ten-year prison sentence on August 5, 2013, as part of the Ergenekon trials, but he and the other defendants were freed a few months later.
Peker threatened the academics who signed the letter asking for peace with the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in a well-attended speech on January 13, 2016. He was charged for this speech but was later found not guilty in July 2018.

Whistle-blower
He began a YouTube confession video series in May 2021. He accused Tolga Aar, the son of the late interior minister Mehmet Aar, of raping and killing Yeldana Kaharman, a Kazakh student.
Additionally, he claimed Mehmet Aar was responsible for the murder of Kutlu Adal and that he conspired with Erkam, the son of former prime minister Binali Yldrm, to traffic drugs internationally. Adnan Tanrverdi, a retired brigadier general and former presidential advisor, founded SADAT, which he later charged with being involved in the arms transfer to the Al-Nusra Front during the Syrian Civil War.
A documentary featuring him and several well-known journalists and politicians, including the former deputy prime minister of Turkey Bülent Arnç, was published on YouTube by 140journos on December 12, 2021. Additionally, he claims that Süleyman Soylu, the interior minister, betrayed him after defending him.
