He started his professional boxing career in 1985 and quickly established himself as a formidable opponent in the ring. Moreover, he won his first 10 professional fights before suffering his first loss in 1987. However, he bounced back from that defeat and went on to win the British middleweight title in 1990.
Eubank’s big breakthrough came in 1991 when he defeated Nigel Benn to become the WBO middleweight champion. He successfully defended that title 14 times before moving up in weight to become the WBO super middleweight champion in 1995. He later added the WBC super middleweight title to his collection in 1997, cementing his place as one of the best boxers of his generation.
