Ryan is a former American footballer. The former footballer started his college play committed under the football coach Jim Tressel at Ohio State.

Later, the football coach resigned five months later and was replaced by Urban Meyer whom he initially committed to play under at Florida. Ryan played every season in his true freshman year and ended his season with 57 tackles, 5 tackles for a loss, 3 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles.

Ryan Shazier played for Ohio State till the year 2013. He then announced to forgo his senior year season and enter the 2014 NFL Draft.

The NFL team Pittsburgh Steelers selected Shazier in the first round with the 15th overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. Ryan was the third linebacker taken in the draft.
