At the age of 17 years old, Ron Methvin joined the US military. Additionally, he served in the Louisiana National Guard with an E-5 military rank from the year 1999 to 2005. He served in Kandahar, Afghanistan, in 2003, and became a Lafourche sheriff’s deputy in 2004.

After that, he became a sergeant. Because of his sharpshooting and combat abilities, he became part of the SWAT team in 2006. Since joining the group, he has continued to train as a sniper.

Swamp People

He appeared in the third season of the reality television show “Swamp People” in 2012. Furthermore, he and his colleague Brue Mitchell hunted alligators as a team on the show. His first appearance on the show, assisting Brue as a partner, elicited ecstatic reactions from the audience.

He could also shoot the alligators from a long distance because of his sniping ability. They complement each other well. Ron holds high regard for Bruce and describes him as patriotic. He couldn’t pass up the closest opportunity to his goal.

His most memorable achievement was killing an 11-foot alligator and carrying it to the boat by himself. Liz Cavalier, Mitchell Guist, and R.J Molinere are among the other cast members of ‘Swamp People.’ Methvin has appeared in 74 episodes to date.

Aside from Swamp People (2012-2018), he has also appeared in the following TV shows: Blood and Guts (2018), End of the Line (2016), Home Stretch (2016), Gambin Man (2016), and Cajun Cartel (2018).
