In 1984, he made his film debut in the buddy-crime-comedy film “City Heat.” His other film credits include “Die Hard” (1988), where he portrayed the villainous henchman Hans Gruber; “Licence to Kill” (1989), in which he played the main antagonist, Franz Sanchez; and “The Goonies” (1985), where he portrayed one of the Fratelli brothers.

Additionally, he played the role of deputy chief Phil Heinemann in the 1990 film “Predator 2.” He played the role of strip club manager Al Torres in the 1995 erotic thriller film “Showgirls.” In the NBC television series “Profiler,” he portrayed FBI Special Agent Bailey Malone.
