Moreover, he played Tommy in the series premiere for the short-lived CBS drama series “Bronk.” Similarly, he played Martin in the short-lived Sanford and Son spin-off “Grady.” Rist appeared on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” as David, the son of Ted Baxter (Ted Knight), from 1975 to 1977. He also made three appearances on The Bionic Woman. In addition, he appeared as Dr. Zee on “Galactica 1980” in the year 1980.

He made four guest appearances on “CHiPs” and the short-lived CBS series “Whiz Kids”, and he also played Booger in a failed “Revenge of the Nerds” TV pilot. The actor had a notable supporting role as Milo in the action film “Iron Eagle” in 1986, which was a box-office success despite being critically panned.

Moreover, he was acting, worked with music, and produced films in the year 2006. He also produced a horror/comedy film, “Stump The Band,” directed by William Holmes and JoJo Hendrickson. He played Robbie the Bus Driver in the 2013 camp horror film “Sharknado.”

As a voice actor

In the 1990s, Rist began to focus more on voice acting. He provided the voice of Michaelangelo in the original “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” animated series, which ran from 1987 to 1996. He was the voice of Star, a mauve-and-cream Siberian Husky, in the 1995 Universal Studios film “Balto”, his first and only role in a full-length animated film. Moreover, he  also provided the voice of Aaron in the PC game “Star Warped.”

An episode of Batman: The Animated Series titled “Baby Doll” featured a character named Cousin Spunky, who was created to boost the sagging ratings of the fictional Baby Doll sitcom, a clear reference to Cousin Oliver (Rist lent his voice to the episode, but did not play Cousin Spunky; his character was an adult). Later, he voices the characters Choji Akimichi from “Naruto,” and Bud Bison from “Mega Man Star Force.”

He has also voiced the character Stuffy in Disney Junior’s hit animated series “Doc McStuffins.” Similarly, he voiced the character Griffin in the 2009 video game “Terminator Salvation.” He also lent additional voices in the video game “Final Fantasy XIII.” Again, he reprised the role of Michelangelo in a fan-made movie about “Casey.”

In the computer-animated television series, “TMNT 2012” he voiced the reincarnation of Mondo Gecko. Meanwhile, he appeared as the voice of an alien in the James Rolfe 2014 film “Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie.”

Musical Career
