Robbie Amell made his acting debut in the 2005 film, “Cheaper by the Dozen 2.” In the movie, he played the role of Daniel Murtaugh, originally meant to be a non-speaking role, but he ended up getting a couple of lines.

Afterward, he was seen in a 2007 Canadian slasher film “Left for Dead” portraying the role of  Blair. In the 2008 television movie “Picture This” he played the role of Drew Patterson.

The television movie was released in the ABC Family, branded as an ABC Family Original Movie, the film was a popular hit, drawing in 5.3 million viewers on its premiere. From 2008 to 2011, he was also part of the Nickelodeon series “True Jackson,” in which he played a recurring role as Jimmy is portrayed as the lead role’s love interest.

He appeared in one of the episodes of the 2008 television series “Murdoch Mysteries.” Later, he played the role of Fred Jones in the 2009 television film “Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins.”

The television movie was a major hit, leading to the release of its sequel ‘Scooby-Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster’ the next year Amell again reprised the role as Fred.

In 2010, he worked in the Cartoon Network series called “Unnatural History” portraying the role of Michael O’Malley. That same year, he appeared in the live-action reality series “Destroy Build Destroy” telecast on Cartoon Network.

In the 2013 science fiction television series “The Tomorrow People,” he played the role of Stephen Jameson, the main protagonist, and earned him praise for his acting skills, but also gave his career a much-needed big boost.

He was cast as a major recurring character on the CW series “The Flash” as Ronnie Raymond/Firestorm, based on the DC Comics character. In the 2015 movie “The Duff” he played the lead role of Wesley Rush and earned him Teen Choice Award nominations.

He was cast in the tenth season of “The X-Files” series as FBI Agent Miller in July 2015. He appeared alongside moguls like Kevin Spacey and Jennifer Garner in 2016 in the comedy film “Nine Lives” playing the role of David Brand.

In 2017, he appeared as Max and  co-starred in McG’s horror film “The Babysitter.” Again, he reprised the role of Max in the 2020 sequel, “The Babysitter: Killer Queen.”

He starred in and executive-produced in the 2019 sci-fi action film “Code 8,” with Stephen Amell co-starring and also executive-producing. Again, he will reappear in its sequel “Code 8: Part II.”

Moreover, he played the role of Kevin in the black comedy television series “A Series of Unfortunate Events” (2018-2019). In the year 2020, he made his appearances in three movies “Desperados” as Jared, “The Babysitter: Killer Queen” as Max, and “Eat Wheaties!” as Brandon.

Currently, he plays the main role of Nathan Brown in the science fiction comedy-drama series “Upload” (2020- present). Moreover portrayed the role of Chris Redfield in the 2021 movie “Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City.”
