Early Life

During his time with the Colts, he recorded 11 interceptions and 1 touchdown. In 1996, he helped the Colts reach the playoffs for the first time since 1987. After the 1996 season, Buchanan signed with the Atlanta Falcons as a free agent.

Oakland Raiders
Buchanan played his final season in the NFL with the Oakland Raiders in 2004. He signed with the Raiders as a free agent but played in only 10 games due to injuries, recording 1 interception and 2 passes defended. After the 2004 season, he announced his retirement from professional football.
Although his time with the Raiders was short-lived, he had a distinguished career as a cornerback, earning three Pro Bowl selections and two All-Pro honors during his 12-year career in the NFL.

After he retired from football, he began his passion for music. Moreover, he has released several songs and albums, including “Falcons Run and Hit” and “Dirty Bird Fan Jam,” which are tributes to his time with the Atlanta Falcons.
In 2005, he released an album called “The Officially Offical NFL Players’ Choir,” which features NFL players singing gospel and inspirational music.
