Raviv Ullman is a multi-talented Israeli-American actor, director, and musician. Raviv Ullman is widely recognized for playing the main role of Phil Diffy, in the Disney Channel series “Phil of the Future.”

Early Life

Raviv Ullman was born in Eilat, Israel, on the 24th of January 1986. Currently, he is 38 years old and has a zodiac sign of Aquarius. In addition, his full name is Raviv Chanan “Ricky” Ullman and he holds a dual nationality of American-Israeli. He belongs to the Ashkenazi Jewish ethnicity and practices the Jewish religion.

He was born to his parents; Laura Ullman (mother) and Brian Ullman (father). Additionally, he grew up with his two younger siblings; Tali and Nadav. When he was just one year old, his family left for the United States.

Starting his professional career, Raviv Ullman began his journey as a professional stage actor. Among his early works are “The King and I,” “Peter Pan,” and “The Music Man.” His performance in the play ‘A Rosen by Any Other Name’ got him a Connecticut Critics’ Award nomination for Best Actor.

In 2000, he made his television debut with a supporting role in the TV movie “Growing Up Brady.” Later, he played the guest role in an episode of the TV series “Guiding Light” in the year 2002.

However, he rose to prominence after portraying the role of Phillip Diffy, a lead character in the sci-fi comedy TV series “Phil of the Future.” The series was created by Tim Maile and Douglas Tuber, and aired from 2004 to 2006, covering two seasons.

Additionally, he played the lead role of Roscoe in the 2004 television movie “Pixel Perfect.” Meanwhile, the TV movie was directed by Mark A. Z. Dippe and was made on a budget of $4 million. Some of his other television movie credits are “Searching for David’s Heart” (2004), “Totally Suite New Year’s Eve’”(2005), and “That Guy” (2006).

Other acting roles

Aside from his TV movies and series, he has appeared on the big screen. He played the supporting role in “The Big Bad Swim” and the lead role in the film “Driftwood,” bother movies were released in 2006.

In addition, he has continued to appear in several films such as “Prom Wars” (2008), “The Trouble With Cali” (2010), “How to Make Love to A Woman” (2010), and “Contest” (2013). He has also continued to appear in several plays including ‘Dead End’ (2005) and ‘Russian Transport’ (2012).

Over the course, this actor has played guest roles in several TV shows such as “That’s So Raven” (2005), “House” (2006) and “The Middleman” (2008). He played the main role of Kip in the Lifetime Network TV series “Rita Rocks.” The series aired from 2008 to 2009, where he appeared in a total of 40 episodes.

He appeared in the TV series “Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior” (2011) and “Broad City” (2015), appearing in one episode each. In 2018, he played the recurring role of Rory in the comedy-drama “Strangers” appearing in 3 episodes.

Similarly, he is currently working on two films whose names  are “The Other Side” and “Spring Break ’83.”

Musical Works

Ullman collaborated with his friends and created the music video ‘Pointy Hat’ under the name of ‘The Webee Boys’ in the year 2006. Meanwhile, they released two other music videos “Refrigerator” and “Bop It.”

Additionally, he along with actor Douglas Smith, formed a band called ‘Goodbye Ian’; the band’s name was later changed to ‘His Orchestra.’ In February 2009, they released their debut album “Field Guide to the Wilds.”

Ullman was a member of Julian Casablancas’ record company Cult Records, where they made their debut in 2013. He left the band around the year 2015. He, together with Reputante bandmates James Levy and Jimmy Giannopoulos, formed the band Lolawolf with actress Zo Kravitz. On February 4, 2014, they released their self-titled debut EP. He quit Lolawolf before their debut full-length album, Calm Down, was released in October 2014.

Filmmaking

He launched his project Standing Ground in October 2016, a documentary about the Standing Rock Sioux Nation, the North Dakota Access Pipeline, and the fossil fuels business. The film’s production took place throughout 2017. Moreover, he also directs music videos.
