Early life
Pooja Bedi was born on 11 May 1970 in Bombay (currently known as Mumbai), Maharashtra, India. Moreover, Pooja is 52 years old and holds Indian citizenship. She has a zodiac sign of Taurus and her mother tongue is Punjabi.
Moreover, she is the daughter of famous actor Kabir Bedi and classical dancer, Protima Bedi. Talking about her siblings, she has two brothers, Siddharth and Adam Bedi. She grew up in an artistic environment in Mumbai.

Talking about Pooja’s relationship, she is single currently. However, she married a Muslim-Parsi of Gujarati Khoja descent Farhan Ebrahim Furniturewala whom she met in 1990.

She is most known for her endorsement of and use of the Kamasutra condom campaign to raise AIDS awareness. Carry On Papa, Wow What a Girl and A Bengali Jatra were among the plays in which she appeared.
As an actress, Pooja made her film debut with Jag Mundhra’s film Vishkanya (1991). She also got a chance to act with Amir Khan in the movie Jeeta Wohi Sikander (1992) are other movies about the actress.

Breakthrough role and debut in reality shows
Pooja compiled and edited Timepass, her mother Promita Bedi’s memoirs, in 2000. She has published articles for several publications, including L’officiel, Femina, and The Week, and has been a writer for the Times of India, Hindustan Times, and MiD DAY newspapers.
In 2005, she along with Hanif Hilal took part in Nach Baliye. She first appeared on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa in 2006, followed by Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi in 2007.
Moreover, she was also a celebrity contestant on Bigg Boss 5, the Indian version of Big Brother. But sadly, she was evicted on Day 56 (November 27) after surviving for 8 weeks in the Bigg Boss house.

Talking about Pooja’s awards and nominations, she was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1993. She also won the Indian Telly Award for Best Anchors in 2005 and 2006.
