Paul continued his career in television, becoming a star of one-season shows such as “The River” in 2010, a story about a team of researchers trying to find a missing TV explorer in the Amazon, which didn’t get a second season despite rave reviews and a Primetime Emmy Award nomination.

Nonetheless, he was cast as detective Quentin Lance in the action-adventure series “Arrow” two years later, landing him the role of a lifetime. He starred in the show until 2018, when he left, though he returned in the series’ final episode.
