Early Life and Childhood
Pat Cummins was born Patrick James Cummins on May 8, 1993, in Westmead, New South Wales, Australia. His age is currently 30 years old. He was born to his father Peter Cummins and his mother Maria Cummins.

Early Career

Early Career and Injury Struggles
After receiving a contract from Cricket Australia in June 2011, Cummins represented Australia in three One Day International (ODI) games and two Twenty20 International (T20I) matches against South Africa, taking ten wickets in total. As a result, Cummins was chosen for the Australian Test team to face South Africa.
In Australia’s provisional lineup for the ICC Under-19 World Cup, which will take place in Queensland in August 2012, Cummins was chosen. When Cummins returned to Australia in November after competing for Australia in the 2012 T20 World Cup and the Sydney Sixers in the 2012 Champions League, he was informed that he had a stress fracture in his back, which prevented him from participating in the 2012/13 home summer.
After Ryan Harris’ retirement, Cummins was a last-minute addition to the 2015 Ashes team, but he was not chosen for a test during the series. On the same tour, he played in both the ODI and T20I series. Return to Test Cricket
After sitting out the 2011 final against Tasmania, Cummins played in the Sheffield Shield for the first time in six years on March 7, 2017. He took 8 wickets in 36 overs of bowling. Mitchell Starc was ruled out of the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy, and Pat Cummins was chosen as his replacement for the third test despite the NSW medical staff’s recommendation for a slow and managed return to red ball cricket.
Cummins returned to test cricket on March 16th, 2017 after 1946 days (or 5 years, 3 months, and 27 days) away due to various injuries. The fact that he bowled 79 overs in the final two Test matches allayed any concerns regarding his injury history.

During Australia’s 2017–18 tour of South Africa, Cummins hit his first test half-century against South Africa in the fourth test. With 22 wickets in this series and participation in all four games, he cemented his position as one of Australia’s most dependable and consistent bowlers.
After that, he received rest to recover from a back injury before the UAE tour against Pakistan in October 2018. He made a comeback for the test series against India in 2018–19, taking 14 wickets in four matches for a defeated Australian team.
Indian Premier League Career
Cummins made his Indian Premier League debut for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2014, the 2014 edition of the competition. He later joined the team again in IPL 2015. From 2014 to 2021, Cummins participated in 37 IPL games and claimed 38 wickets. He participated in seven games of the IPL 2021 and took nine wickets while also scoring 93 runs. Cummins scored 50 runs in 14 balls against the Mumbai Indians in April 2022, tying the record for the quickest half-century in the Indian Premier League. Together with KL Rahul, he holds this record.
