Early Life
Neelanjana Ray was born in the year 2003, in Alipur, West Bengal, India. At present, she is 19 years old but her birth sign is unknown as her exact date of birth is not given. She completed her schooling at Netaji Bedpit Higher Secondary School.
She comes from a middle-class family in West Bengal. There is no information related to her family. However, her parents always supported and appreciated her singing talent. Furthermore, she belongs to the Brahmin community of Bengal.

Neelanjana Ray – Career
Neelanjana Ray is one of the Indian contestants in the television show “Indian Idol Season 10”. And, that Season of singing reality shows Indian Idol Season 10 started on 7 July 2018 after a gap of two years. Therefore, the show features Vishal Dadlani, Anu Malik, and Neha Kakkar. And, Manish Paul hosted the show this season.
She was the 2nd runner-up and rewarded Rs.1 Lakh. Moreover, she performed in the ‘Laag Ja Gale’ song of Lata Mangeshkar. She was honored with the Performer of the Day title. Moreover, her father wanted to become a singer from childhood. She is now fulfilling his father’s dream by participating in Indian Idol. Due to her voice, she is also called modern Lata Mangeshkar.
Neelanjana also took part in ‘The Voice India Kids 2’ where she was the 1st runner-up and rewarded with Rs. 10 Lakh. She was on the team of singer ‘Shaan’. ‘Thank you so much,’ her first original song was released in October 2019, whose lyrics and composition were all done by herself. She has also appeared in Jammin and The Kapil Sharma Show.
She is also active socially. Her Instagram page has earned over 235K followers. Similarly, her Facebook page has gained over 15K followers. And her Twitter account has gathered over 1K followers. She also has a self-titled YouTube channel which was launched on November 17, 2017.

Controversy
During the show, she has forcefully kissed by the playback singer Papon. He kissed her after her performance. Neelanjana and her parents filed a complaint to the National Women Rights Commission. And, on February 24, 2018, the police lodged a case against him after a complaint from the Assam State Commission for Protection of Child Rights.
Alongside the other contestants present on the video streaming and their respective family members, the parents of the minor also denied allegations against Papon stating that it was fatherly love shown by him and there was no kiss. However, he left the reality TV show as a judge due to the allegations.
But, however, a court of law later found insufficient reason to charge Papon based on the police investigation reports and closed the case and stated that the case arose due to a mistake of fact.

This talented personality has not revealed any information regarding her past or present relationship. However, she surely has not dated anyone and is single at the moment. She might be busying focusing on her studies and career as of now. However, no doubt this girl would get a loving and caring boyfriend in the future.
