In 2015, he was named the head coach of the Buffalo Bulls men’s basketball team. During his four seasons at Buffalo, he led the team to three NCAA Tournament appearances and a school-record 32 wins in the 2018-19 season.
In March 2019, he was hired as the head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide men’s basketball team and has since led the team to an SEC regular season championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance.
He is known for his great skill in basketball with an aggressive defense. He has been credited with building a winning culture at both Buffalo and Alabama and for developing professional-level players.
