Moran Atias is a promising Israeli-American actress and model. Moran Atias is most probably known for her roles as Inez in the Starz drama series “Crash,” playing Monika in the film “Third Person,” and featuring as Leila Al-Fayeed in the FX series “Tyrant.”

Later, she played the role of Sigal in the musical drama “Days Of Love” that same year. For her role in the drama, she earned a nomination for Best Actress at Festival Sguardo al Femminile.

Her other roles include Aisha in the comedy “The Roses Of The Desert,” Mater Lachrymarum in Dario Argento’s drama horror thriller film “Mother Of Tears” (2007), the third film in the trilogy “The Three Mothers,” and Isabella in the comedy-drama “Rachamim” in the same year.

Meanwhile, she also guest-starred in two episodes of the ABC sitcom “Good & Evil,” playing Elisabetta in 2009. The same year, she played Pakuni Woman in the adventure comedy film “Land Of The Lost” next to Will Ferrell and Danny McBride and was cast as Alopa in the Italian romantic comedy “Just Married” (originally “Oggi Sposi”), directed by Luca Lucini.

In 2010, she was as Ronit in the crime drama “Honor” and starred as Erit in Paul Haggis’ crime drama “The Next Three Days,” along with Russell Crowe. Later, she made several guest appearances in television series such as “CSI: Miami,” “White Collar,” and “Rules Of Engagement.”

In 2012, she was cast as Ex in Adam Sherman’s independent film “Crazy Eyes” which was followed by another significant role in the 2013 romantic drama film “Third Person,” directed by Paul Haggis, in which she played Monika and also served as the co-producer. From 2014 to 2016, she played the role of Leila Al-Fayeed in the FX series “Tyrant,” created by Israeli director and writer Gideon Raff.

She starred as Sidra in the spin-off of the action drama series “24”, entitled “24: Legacy”, which aired on the Fox Network in 2017. Following this, she landed in other roles as Renata Morali in the medical drama series “The Resident,” and Contessa in the action crime-drama film “Speed Kills,” starring next to John Travolta, Jennifer Esposito, and Katheryn Winnick, both in 2018.

In 2019, she joined the cast of the NBC drama series “The Village” playing the main role of Renata Morali for season one. The same year, she appeared in the title role in Juan Pablo Reinoso’s made-for-television family film, “Rahab And The Ribbon Of Redemption.” Recently, she played the recurring role of Louise Thompson in the American television drama series “Animal Kingdom.”

Humanitarian Works

Besides her acting roles and modeling works, she is also active in humanitarian works. In Italy, she served as the City of Milan’s spokeswoman in campaigns against graffiti and animal cruelty in 2005-06.

Following the 2010 Haiti earthquake, she joined Sean Penn on an Artists for Peace and Justice (APJ) volunteer mission, where she assisted in the evacuation of refugees to Florida. During her second visit to Haiti, she attended a workshop at the Ciné Institute in Jacmel.

She collaborated with APJ in May 2010 to host and organize a charity event at the Cannes Film Festival. In November 2010, she hosted and organized a charity event for APJ in New York, with proceeds benefiting Haiti’s first free high school for slum children.

She is an IsraAid goodwill ambassador who assisted in humanitarian efforts in Haiti following the 2010 earthquake. Meanwhile, she volunteered at the coronavirus patients’ ward in Tel Aviv’s Ichilov Hospital in April 2020.
