Michael McIntyre was born in London, England, the United Kingdom, on 21 February 1976. His full name is Michael Hazen James McIntyre.

Moving on to his academics, he attended Merchant Taylors’ School, Northwood, Arnold House School, and Woodhouse College. Later, McIntyre enrolled at the University of Edinburgh.

Professional Career

Michael McIntyre provided his voice to E.T. in “Bloodbath at the House of Death.” He then appeared on camera asking a question as one of the audience of the show “Going Live!” in the year 1989.

Additionally, he has since been on BBC One’s “Live at the Apollo” multiple times in 2007, 2008 and 2009. He has sold over five million copies of his four DVDs, Live and Laughing, Hello Wembley, Showtime, and Happy and Glorious, in the United Kingdom.

He took part in Channel 4’s Comedy Gala, on the 31st of March 2010. The show is a benefit show held in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital, filmed live at London’s O2 Arena. He also featured on Channel 4’s “The Big Fat Quiz of the Year,” when he was partnered with Alan Carr.

Moreover, he was announced as a judge for the ITV talent competition “Britain’s Got Talent” in 2011 alongside David Hasselhoff and Amanda Holden on December 14, 2010. Piers Morgan and Simon Cowell were replaced by McIntyre and Hasselhoff, while Cowell returned for the live programs and Hasselhoff was just a fourth judge. McIntyre was replaced by Alesha Dixon after only one series.

He hosted the “Royal Variety Performance” on ITV in the years 2010 and 2014.
