In the 2010 U.S. Open, Greller teamed up with Justin Thomas as his caddy. Thomas was so satisfied with Greller’s work that he recommended Jordan Spieth to Greller for his matches in the 2011 U.S. Junior Amateur, which Spieth won.
After that, Greller kept transporting Spieth’s baggage. He extended an offer to Greller for a long-term caddie job in 2013, when the amateur golfer turned professional. The caddie and golfer pair have remained friends ever since.
Additionally, the two have consistently displayed a strong friendship. One recent example of their cooperation was when the professional golfer helped Greller, his caddie, through the loss of both of his parents in just one and a half years.
