Micheal B. Jordan is a well-known American actor, film director, and producer. Micheal B. Jordan is best known as drug dealer Wallace in the HBO’s crime drama television series “The Wire” (2002) and as Reggie Porter Montgomery in “My Children (2003-2006).

Early Life

On the 9th of February 1987, Michael B. Jordan was born in Santa Ana, California, the United States of America. It makes him 36 years old and holds American nationality.

For the series, he starred in only 13 episodes of “The Wire” in its debut season, but his riveting performance ensured that he kept receiving work offers consistently. Later, he was cast as Reggie Porter Montgomery in 59 episodes of NBC’s ‘All My Children’ from 2003-2006.

Rose to Fame

Michael B. Jordan appeared in TV series such as “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” “Without a Trace,” “Cold Case,” “Burn Notice,” and “Bones” from the year 2006 through 2009. After this, he landed the lead role of C.J. in the 2007 indie movie “Blackout.”

During the same time, he played the role of Nate Warren in the sitcom “The Assistants” for a total of 13 episodes. He was featured in the 2008 music video “Did You Wrong.” The next year, he played the role of Vince Howard in the Emmy Award-winning NBC series, “Friday Night Lights.”

He played the role of Vince for two seasons appearing in 26 episodes. In the year 2010, this actor was considered one of the 55 faces of the future by Nylon Magazine’s Young Hollywood.

George Lucas of Star Wars fame cast Jordan in the 2012 movie “Red Tails.” That same year, he was also part of the lead cast in the sci-fi thriller, “Chronicle” where he was one of three teenagers (Steve Montgomery) who acquired phenomenal powers.

Later, he played the lead role of Oscar Grant in the 2012 biopic “Fruitvale Station.” His role was praised by Critics and he also earned 11 nominations and five awards for his role. That same year, he guest-starred as Will Westwood in an episode of “House” final season, playing a blind patient.

In the year 2015, he starred as Johnny Storm, the Human Torch in the superhero movie, “Fantastic Four”, adapted from an eponymous Marvel Comics book. Meanwhile, the movie was a huge box-office hit. In the year 2015, he starred as boxer Adonis Creed in the movie “Creed” and was a huge hit.

Later, he reprised the same role in its sequel “Creed II” (2018). Again in 2023, he will reprise the same role in its third sequel “Creed III” in which he made his directorial debut, produced, and is currently in post-production.

In 2018, Michael B. Jordan returned for the Marvel superhero feature “Black Panther”, playing arch-villain Erik Killmonger to Chadwick Boseman’s titular superhero. Later, he made a cameo in the movie sequel “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” in 2022.

Recent works and video games

He was cast in the 2018 fictional dystopian telefilm, “Fahrenheit 451” based on a Ray Bradbury novel of the same name where he played the lead character, Guy Montag. He later played the role of Bryan Stevenson in the 2019 biographical movie “Just Mercy.”

This actor lent his voice to the character Julian Chase in the animated science fiction series “Gen: Lock” from 2019 to 2021.  He voices the character Terence in the adult animated anthology series “Love, Death & Robots” and “Erik “Killmonger” Stevens” in the animated anthology series “What If…?” in the year 2021. He worked as a narrator in the 2022 documentary series “America the Beautiful.”
