At 16 years old, Metro Boomin began his music career as a producer in 2009. He has produced tracks for local Atlanta artists. Meanwhile, he rose to fame after working on Future’s “Honest” album in 2014, which featured his production on the hit song “Karate Chop.”
After this, he went on to produce for a variety of artists, including Drake, Gucci Mane, and 21 Savage. He gained mainstream success after producing the song “Tuesday” by iLoveMakonnen and Drake, which reached number 12 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
In 2015, Metro Boomin released his debut mixtape, “19 & Boomin,” which featured collaborations with several up-and-coming artists.
Following that, he produced the U.S. top-20 singles “Jumpman” by Drake and Future and “Low Life” by Future featuring the Weeknd before attaining his first number-one with “Bad and Boujee” by Migos.

Later, Boomin produced the single “Creepin” alongside The Weeknd and 21 Savage, which reached the top ten in several countries, including the U.S. and the United Kingdom.
On the 2nd of December 2022, he released his second studio album “Heroes & Villains” and on the 30th of November, he released an accompanying short film preview for the album.
