In her audition tape, she referred to herself as a “half-black, half-Filipino Chris Rock”. Between January and late May 2000, filming took place over 124 days. In addition, her 2000 MTV biography describes her as possessing a “manic wit”. She moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in standup comedy, after filming ended. Later on, she engaged in acrylic painting, an interest she developed in New Orleans. For approximately 5 or 6 years, she stayed in Los Angeles.
