During the 2018-19 season, he was promoted to the Barcelona B team, but he sustained a severe knee injury in August 2018 that held him out until March of the following year.

He was also removed from the team after refusing the club’s contract extension, and he then sustained another knee injury that ruled him out for over two months.

As a free agent, he agreed to sign a five-year deal with Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund on July 1, 2019, and played with the reserves. He made his professional debut on May 31, 2020, in a 6-1 away win over SC Paderborn 07, coming on as a late replacement for Achraf Hakimi.

Additionally, he has represented Spain at several different ages. He has played for Spain at the U16, U17, and U18 levels.  He competed for Spain at the U17 level in the 2017 UEFA European U17 Championship and the 2017 FIFA U17 World Cup.
