Núñez celebrated her 20th anniversary at The Royal Ballet in 2018 after a performance of Giselle. Her “one of the greats of her generation” label was awarded by artistic director Kevin O’Hare. Núñez’s portrayal of Odette/Odile in Swan Lake was particularly commended by The Times, which noted that she “has a clear line, a melting fluidity, and a silky legato quality. Her Odette was poetic and melancholy, and her Odile was tough and seductive. The Independent said of Núñez’s performance as Nikiya in La Bayadère that she “has luscious musical phrasing and floating line.”
