2012 – 2016

Then in the year 2012, Lydia Night formed the pop-rock group “Pretty Little Demons”. She worked with drummer Marlhy Murphy for this band.

A year later in 2013, she and Marley played South by Southwest. They became the youngest performers to play at the festival.

This incredible achievement at a young age caught the attention of Ryan Gosling. Gosling then asked her to join his band “Dead Man’s Bones”.

Then in 2013, “Pretty Little Demons” released their debut EP Flowers. The duo followed this with their album Unknown Species in the year 2014.

The same year, she began attending Grand Arts High School. It is a performing arts high school in Downtown Los Angeles.

Additionally, in the year 2015, the duo changed their name to the “Regrettes”. Subsequently, the band released their debut four-track EP in October.

It is called Hey! The band then accompanied the EP with a music video for its track Hey Now! The drummer, Marlhy Murphy subsequently departed from the band.

This led to the hiring of the then-Genessa members namely Genessa Gariano, Sage Chavis, and Maxx Morando.

2017 – Present

Under this line-up, the “Regrettes” band released their debut album Feel Your Feelings Fool! They released this album on 13 January 2017.

This band’s music serves to present Lydia’s vision of the world as if it were straight from her diary entries. The young musician’s music originated from the culture shock of entering high school.

Further, the band met at the School of Rock which she joined after seeing the Motown show. Moreover, the band followed this album with a follow-up album/EP Attention Seeker in the year 2018.

Then on December 13, 2018, she featured on Gerard Way’s Christmas song Dasher.

On 8 April 2019, she was featured on Morrissey’s cover of Wedding Bell Blues and for this, she also worked with Billie Joe Armstrong.

Similarly, on 18 June 2019, the band announced the release of their second studio album. Its title is How Do You Love? They subsequently released the album on August 9 of the same year.

Similarly, her band released the singles I Dare You and Poor Boy in the year 2019. Further, they went on a 30-date European arena tour in 2019. It was as a supporting act for the band “Twenty-One Pilots”.

On 20 July 2020, she revealed on her Instagram that Joey Armstrong of the band “SWMRS” sexually assaulted her during their relationship in 2017 when she was just 16 years old and Joe was 22 years old.
