Lisa Armstrong began her career as a dancer at a young age, but when her friend Kelly O’Keefe got a job with a music management firm and was requested to put together a group, she joined Deuce with Kelly O’Keefe, Craig Young, and Paul Holmes.
Their debut song, “Call It Love,” was released in January 1995, peaked at number 11 in the UK charts, and debuted at number 21. The trio went on to record two more singles and an album before O’Keefe chose to depart in November 1995, and the label dumped them. The band decided to continue on a different label, and O’Keefe was replaced by Amanda Perkins for one song before splitting up.

She subsequently went on to become a make-up artist, writing a column for Cosmopolitan magazine before becoming the make-up artist for numerous British television shows, including The X Factor, Britain’s Got Talent, and many of Ant & Dec’s shows. Abbey Clancy, Peter Andre, David Attenborough, Christine Bleakley, Simon Cowell, Geri Halliwell, Ronan Keating, Michael McIntyre, Fearne Cotton, and her ex-husband Anthony McPartlin were among those she worked with.
Meanwhile, she has also served as a make-up expert on “This Morning,” giving makeovers and short make-up tutorials. She is presently the BBC One show “Strictly Come Dancing” head of make-up and hair. In Series 2, Episode 6 of “Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make-Up Star” in 2020, she was one of the Guest Judges.
