She is the second child of professor Damian Marano and former actress Ellen Marano. She has an older sister Vanessa Marano. Her father is Italian while her mother has ancestry in English and Irish. She also has a dog named Velvet.
Her mother owns the Agoura Children’s Theatre, where Laura started acting. Laura has done several acts at the Agoura Children’s Theatre. The family is full of talented people as her sister Vanessa Marano is also an actress and singer.

Laura Marano – Professional Life
Laura started acting at the age of 5 years old in the theatre. She has done several plays at the Agoura Children’s Theatre. Laura worked for the Stage Door Theatre.
She also has done numerous commercials and played small roles in Ghost Whisperer, Medical Investigation, Huff, and Joan of Arcadia. Laura played the role of Ally Dawson in the Disney Channel series Austin & Ally.
Before her Disney Career, She first starred in a film called The Jacket as Keira Knightley with Oscar-winning actor Adrien Brody produced by George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh.

Lauren was named UNICEF’s Trick or Treat for UNICEF Ambassador which encouraged other children to raise money on Halloween to help other children around the globe in 2013.
She was an ambassador for the Disney and Birds Eye vegetable campaign ‘Step up to the plate’ encouraging children in the US to eat healthy foods. She also hosted a fashion show for Childhelp during National Child Abuse Prevention Month which raised the fund for neglected and abused children.
