Her ex-husband – Lance Armstrong – initially became the subject of doping allegations after his 1999 Tour de France win. However, her ex-husband denied his involvement in doping for many years. Then in the year 2012, a United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) investigation concluded that her ex-husband had used performance-enhancing drugs throughout his career. USADA also named her ex-husband the ringleader of the most sophisticated, professionalized, and successful doping program that sport has ever seen.
Citing the potential toll on his family, her ex-husband chose not to contest the charges while maintaining his innocence. Subsequently, Richard’s husband received a lifetime ban from all sports that followed the World Anti-Doping Code. Hence, her ex-husband – Lance Armstrong’s competitive cycling career came to an end.

Kristin Richard was married to Lance Armstrong from 1998 to 2003. Richard and Armstrong met each other in June 1997. The lovely couple then tied the knot on 1 May 1998. Together, the ex-couple has three children namely Luke Armstrong, Isabelle Armstrong, and Grace Elizabeth Armstrong. Luke was born on 13 October 1999 whereas the twin girls Isabelle and Grace were born on 20 November 2001.
