Likewise, in the 80s, “Bananarama” was able to release a bunch of hit songs such as ‘Cruel Summer’, ‘Love in the First Degree’, ‘I Heard a Rumour’, ‘Shy Boy’, and ‘Robert de Niro’s Waiting’. They even had several albums including ‘Deep Sea Skiving,’ ‘Bananarama,’ ‘True Confessions,’ ‘Wow!,’ ‘Ultra Violet,’ ‘Exotica,’ and ‘Drama’.
Between the years 1982 and 2009, their group had an impressive 28 singles that made it to the Top 50 on the UK singles charts. They went on to release a total of 45 singles, 11 studio albums, 13 compilation albums, and four video albums. Their achievements even landed them in the Guinness World Record as the all-female group with the most chart entries in the world. And, by the year 2002, they had sold over 40 million records.

Moreover, during their most successful period in the 80s, Siobhan Fahey left the group in 1988 to pursue her own music with Shakespeare Sister after getting married to Dave Stewart. Then, Jacquie O’Sullivan joined Bananarama as a replacement but left in the year 1991. Later, Woodward moved to North Cornwall and lived there for over 20 years.
Even, after Siobhan Fahey left, Sara Dallin along with Keren Woodward continued with the group and even toured different cities. Then, in the year 2017, the three original bandmates had a reunion tour. And, their tenth studio album, ‘Viva’ was released in the year 2009, and their 11th album, ‘In Stereo’ came out in April 2019. Their label, ‘IN SYNK’ handled the release while ‘Absolute Label’ provided sales, marketing, and distribution support.
