High School and college career
In the early days of his junior year, he played against Senior guard Simeon Career in a 53-51 victory at Madison Square Garden.
He gained a place on McDonald’s All-American Team then he played a premiere AAU Basketball program in elite New York Cty Gauchos.
He received a title to the Big East All-Rookie Team where his average was 25.5 minutes which made him more than a regular non-starter.

He led the team in the last nine games to score eighth time with 18 points at Virginia Tech. Then he gained the title of the First Team All-District by (USBWA) the U.S Basketball Writers Association.

From 2011 to 2014 after leaving the University of Connecticut he joined the 2011 NBA draft. Then he was chosen by Charlotte Bobcats 9th overall.
After that, he played in the 2012 Rising Stars Challenge during All-Star Weekend. Similarly, he won the first game of his life in his NBA career.
He completed the 2012-2013 season with 17.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 5.7 assists.
He won the Eastern Conference Player of the Week with 22,5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 8.8 assists in a week. Charlotte Bobcats was set in Charlotte Hornets.
