Kate Gosselin is an American TV personality (48 years) who was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States on March 28, 1975. Her full name is Katie Irene Kreider. Her father’s name is Kenton Kreider and her mother’s name is Charlene Kreider. She has three sisters, Kendra, Christen, and Clairissa Kreider, and a brother Kevin Kreider.

Divorce
She and her husband Jon announced on June 22, 2009, on an episode of the reality show that they were parting away. Nonetheless, the duo had met with Pennsylvania attorneys on the day that the episode was released to end plans for divorce rather than separation. The couple also said that their eight children will be in their Pennsylvania home, and they will move back and forth to assist with the custody agreement.
In separate interviews, the duo stated that the show would continue. However, on June 23, 2009, TLC announced that the show would be placed on hiatus effective immediately. According to TLC, they had moved the concentration away from the family and instead made a difference in the dynamic, as well as the production difficulties that had occurred because they were no longer living together.

On August 13, 2009, the duo had to call the police to the Gosselin family home in Wernersville, Pennsylvania after their verbal fight. She arrived at the home during her husband’s scheduled time with their children and was not approved for the babysitter he was using. Kate worked as a labor and delivery nurse in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. Then after giving birth to sextuplets they gained the attention of the media and got invited by NBC TV Network to feature the Gosselin family in ‘Home Delivery‘ a reality show in 2004.
Later, in 2005 they were featured in “Surviving Sextuplets and Twins: One Year Later” which was endorsed by Discovery Communication on the TV channel Discovery Health on a One-hour special. Then from 2007-2017, they were featured in the Jon & Kate Plus 8 / Kate Plus reality series. In 2009 she filmed the talk show with Paula Deen but the show was not picked by the television network.
Then, in 2010 she featured as a contestant on the tenth season of Dancing with the Stars. There she was heavily criticized for her dancing and was eliminated from the competition in the fifth round. Then the same year she got her show name Twist of Kate.

As an author, she has written books such as Multiple Blessing in 2008. The book debuted at number 5 on The New York Times Best Sellers list selling over 500,000 copies. The next year she released her second book, Eight Little Faces which was also listed on The New York Times Best Sellers list. After a successful career as an author, she released her third book name I Just Want You to Know in 2010 and Love is in The Mix in 2013.

2014-now
On March 19, 2014, it was reported that she along with her eight would return in a reunion special, scheduled to air in June.
She made her comeback on Kate Plus 8 for another season on January 13, 2015, on TLC. Season 5 premiered on November 22, 2016, on TLC, and a shortened season 6 (with only three episodes) started on July 10, 2017. Jon and Kate had a custody battle over two of their eight children, Collin and Hannah during Season 6. Therefore, they stopped filming the show.
In May 2019, TLC announced she returned to show Kate Plus 8 almost after two years with a new dating show called Kate Plus Date which premiered on June 10, 2019, on TLC.

Besides reality star, Kate Gosselin has written three non-fiction books. Her first book was published in November 2008, titled: Multiple Blessings co-written with Jon Gosselin and Beth Carson.
