On November 17, 2019, Maddox broke his world record by pressing 744.1 pounds (337.5 kg) while wearing wrist wraps and without a belt.
At the Arnold Sports Classic in Columbus, Ohio, in March 2020, Maddox broke his world record for the bench press, which he had previously achieved in November 2019 at the Rob Hall Classic meet, with a bench press of 770 pounds (350 kg).
Eric Spoto’s previous record, which was set in 2013, was 722 pounds (327 kg). With 10 repetitions, Maddox also holds the world record for the most times in a recognized powerlifting competition in that a bench press of 700 pounds (320 kg) is performed.
Maddox has recently competed at a body weight of between 440 and 460 pounds (200 to 210 kilograms). At a Ghost Strong competition in Miami, Florida, on February 21, 2021, Julius set a new All-Time World Record by lifting 782 lbs (355 kg) in weight.

Maddox removed 765 pounds (347 kg) in the gym in February 2020, documenting the accomplishment in an Instagram post. Maddox Benched 771 pounds (350 kg) in the weight room in January 2021, beating his world record by 1 pound. (0.45 kg). Maddox dropped 795 pounds at a workout in May 2021. His previous gym record was 755 pounds (342 kg), which he accomplished in January 2020.
