John Salmons is a retired professional basketball player. John Salmons played in the Small forward/shooting guard position for various teams such as the Philadelphia 76ers, Sacramento Kings, Chicago Bulls, Milwaukee Bucks, Toronto Raptors, and New Orleans Pelicans of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Early Life

John Salmons was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the United States, on December 12, 1979. According to the astrological chart, he has a birth sign of Sagittarius and is currently 44 years old. Professional Career

The San Antonio Spurs selected John Salmons with the 26th overall pick in the 2002 NBA Draft, but he was promptly traded to his hometown Philadelphia 76ers before he even played for the Spurs. Moreover, he played four seasons with the 76ers before signing with the Sacramento Kings in 2006.

He played with the Kings in 2009 before joining the Chicago Bulls from 2009 to 2010, the Milwaukee Bucks from 2010 to 2011, the Kings again from 2011 to 2013, and the Toronto Raptors from 2013 to 2014.

Salmons has been a member of the New Orleans Pelicans since the start of the 2014 season. Before the start of the 2014 season, the six-foot-six, 207-pound small forward/shooting guard had appeared in over 900 career NBA games.

He averaged slightly more than nine points, three rebounds, and two assists per game. Additionally, he has been to the postseason with five different clubs in his career.

On February 19, 2015,  he was moved to the Phoenix Suns as part of a three-team transaction involving the Miami Heat. Later that month, Salmons and Kendall Marshall were also released. There is not much more information available regarding his recent career on the online websites.
