Early Life
Jerwin Juntilla Ancajas entered the world on January 1, 1992. He is currently 31 years old and his sun sign is Capricorn. He was originally born and raised in Panabo, a suburb of Davao City, Philippines.
Jerwin was introduced to boxing in the second grade by his brother, Jesar Ancajas.

Professional Life and Career
Jerwin made his professional debut in July 2009. Therefore, he won his first major title; the WBO Asia Pacific Youth junior-bantamweight title against Rex Tito scheduled in SM City Lipa. He suffered a loss in his 15th pro bout, losing a majority decision to Mark Anthony Geraldo.
On September 3, 2016, he became the IBF junior bantamweight champion when he defeated McJoe Arroyo. Jerwin made his first defense on January 29, 2017, beating José Alfredo Rodríguez by technical knockout.
He defeated Jamie Conlan with around 6 TKO on November 18, 2017.
In December, it was announced that this boxer had signed with Top Rank and would make his U.S. debut in February 2018. And, finally, on 3 February 2018, he would successfully defend his IBF belt in his US debut.
Likewise, in his next title defense, he faced IBF #1 ranked title contender Jonas Sultan. However, he won the fight comfortably.

Further, he battled IBF #14, Alejandro Santiago Barrios, on 29 September 2018. Similarly, in his next fight, he fought #1 IBF contender Ryuichi Funai. He finished his opponent in round seven. This boxer had another successful title defense on 7 December 2019.
This time against IBF #14 Miguel Gonzalez. Therefore, he won via a sixth-round TKO. On April 10, 2021, he was scheduled to make his ninth IBF title defense against Jonathan Javier Rodriguez. And, however, this boxer won the fight by unanimous decision.
