Early Life
Born as Jeremiah Martin Green, better known as Jeremiah Green was born on the 4th of March 1977, in Oahu, Hawaii, in the United States of America. On Christmas Day 25th of December 2022, his family announced that he had stage four cancer in a Facebook post. Sadly at the age of 45 years old, he died in Sequim, Washington, on December 31, 2022.
Professional Career
Jeremiah Green started his professional career as a founding member and drummer of the indie rock band “Modest Mouse” alongside frontman Isaac Brock and bassist Eric Judy in the year 1993. Meanwhile, he also played with the bands Satisfact on K Records, Red Stars Theory on Touch and Go Records, and Peeved on Distressed Records in the mid-1990s.
Similarly, he has also played with a band named “Vells” as well as another band named “Psychic Emperor.” Both bands played based around Seattle and the Pacific Northwest.
However, Jeremiah left the Modest Mouse band in 2003 on his birthday. The reason behind leaving the band was, that he was experiencing emotional wellness issues. At the time, Jeremiah was admitted to a psychological foundation for six hours under the supervision of his bandmate and frontman, Isaac Brock.

When Green first left, the band quickly convinced him to come back, but on the second day of recording in Portland, he lost it in an argument and disappeared for two months. He stopped taking his antidepressants and went through a trying withdrawal period.
After this, the band eventually replaced Green with Benjamin Weikel of “The Helio Sequence.” The band’s 2004 album “Good News for People Who Love Bad News” was completed without Green because of his departure. In May 2004, Green officially rejoined the band.
Green made an appearance on Graig Markel’s 2007 Sonic Boom Label album “Via Novella.” Under the alias World Gang, Green and Plastiq Phantom collaborated on drum Breaks 7″ which was released in May 2008 on the Imperator. label.
