On the 22nd of April 1966, Jeffrey Northrup was born in Canada. He held Canadian nationality and he died at the age of 57 years old. Meanwhile, he belongs to the White-Canadian ethnicity and follows the Christian religion. Currently, he is living in Brampton, Ontario.

Funeral
On the 12 of July 2021, his funeral service took place at BMO Field. Meanwhile, his funeral attendees included Ontario Premier Doug Ford and Toronto Mayor John Tory. On Monday, family, friends, and thousands of police officers from across the country gathered in Toronto to say goodbye to Jeffrey who died in the line of duty.
Const. Jeffrey Northrup was remembered as an energetic man who was willing to return to the field to help train new officers and who cared deeply about his family, coworkers, and community.
Officers on foot, horseback, and motorcycles marched through the streets of Toronto in a procession before arriving at a large stadium where Northrup’s funeral was held. They stood in silence for nearly ten minutes, three seats apart, as his casket was brought to one end. Only the squawking of seagulls filled the air.
The widow of Northrup described her husband as a man with a kind heart, a calm demeanor, and the ability to make others smile.
Awards
After Northrup’s death, The City of Brampton named a park after Northrup on the 25th of April 2022. Moreover, his dedication and service to the community were recognized by his colleagues and the community he served. After his death, there was an outpouring of support from the community, and a vigil was held in his honor. The Toronto Police Service also announced that they would be establishing a memorial fund in his name to support community initiatives.
