Early Life
Jay Allen was born in Cedar Falls, Iowa, the United States, on the 6th of June 1986. He celebrates his birthday on the 6th of June every year. During his high school days, Jay Allen got curious about singing. To pursue a career in singing, he moved to Nashville in 2013. Additionally, he began performing at various events and also released a few songs. In the year 2017, he released his debut EP titled “The First Five” on Treehouse Records. The song “Sounds Good to Me” is one of the songs including the other four songs of this EP and was a success.
In April 2017, he released a song dedicated to his mother’s struggle with Alzheimer’s titled “Blank Stares.” That year, he was named “The Highway Find” on SiriusXM in the year 2017. The Voice
He participated as one of the contestants in the NBC reality singing competition “The Voice,” in its 22nd season. The show premiered on the 19th of September 2022 and was judged by Camila Cabello, Gwen Stefan, Blake Shelton, and John Legend. In the audition round, Allen performed a rendition of Cody Johnson’s “Till You Can’t.”

Moreover, he was able to turn the chairs of coaches Gewen Stefani and Blake Shelton with his melodious singing. Meanwhile, Allen picked #TeamGwen who would help him going forward in the competition.
Bryce Leatherwood was proclaimed the season’s champion at the season finale, which aired on December 13, 2022. His victory marks the first time a contender who was saved by a Wild Card fast save has gone on to win the whole competition.
