Education and College Career

The Miami Dolphins picked up Jarvis Landry in the second round with the 63rd overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. His rookie season ended with 758 receiving yards and five touchdowns. Moreover, his 84 receptions set a Dolphins rookie record for most receptions. In addition, he had 1,158 yards on punt and kickoff returns.

In 2015, he set a new Dolphins record for receptions in a season with 110, surpassing the previous mark set by Dolphins legend Mark Clayton. He also recorded 1,157 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns, earning his first Pro Bowl selection.

Landry’s final season with the Dolphins was in 2017, where he recorded 112 receptions for 987 yards and 9 touchdowns. He led the league in receptions that year and earned his second consecutive Pro Bowl selection. In the offseason following the 2017 season, he was traded to the Cleveland Browns.

Cleveland Browns

In March 2018,  the Dolphins agreed to trade Landry to the Cleveland Browns for Cleveland’s 2018 fourth-round draft pick and the 2019 seventh-round draft pick that was originally acquired from the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Sammie Coates trade.

In his first season with the Browns, Landry continued to display his reliable hands and playmaking abilities. He recorded 81 receptions for 976 yards and 4 touchdowns, earning his fourth consecutive Pro Bowl selection. In the 2019 season, he continued to excel. He posted 83 receptions for 1,174 yards and 6 touchdowns, earning his fifth Pro Bowl selection. His consistent production, route-running skills, and ability to make contested catches made him a reliable target for Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield.

In 2020, Landry played a pivotal role in the Browns’ return to the playoffs after an 18-year drought. Despite dealing with injuries, he still managed to contribute with 72 receptions for 840 yards and 3 touchdowns. In the playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Landry had a standout performance, recording 5 receptions for 92 yards and a touchdown to help secure the Browns’ victory.
