Cube started writing raps once challenged by a friend, “Kiddo” to do so in typewriting class. Likewise, he started rapping in the trio C.I.A. in the year 1986 when he was 16 years old. However, later he was able to join the newly formed rap group NWA. he then was able to become NWA’s lead rapper and main ghostwriter on its official debut album.

He starred opposite Elizabeth Hurley in the thriller film “Dangerous Ground” in the year 1997 but the film did not receive good reviews. Then after a year in 1998, he released his fifth studio album “War & Peace Vol. 1”, also known as “The War Disc”. The album was also one of his bestselling albums. In the year 2000, he came up with his sixth studio album “War & Peace Volume 2” and that too became one of his most successful albums.
Likewise, he starred in the comedy film “Barbershop” in the year 2002 and the film was a box office hit. Ice later appeared as “Captain Dickson” in the blockbuster hit movies, “21 Jump Street” and its sequel “22 Jump Street”. Cube also starred in “Ride Along” and its sequel “Ride Along 2”. Likewise, in the year 2014, he voiced a character in the animated movie “The Book of Life”.
