Early Life and Childhood

Hugh Laurie was born in Blackbird Leys, Oxfordshire, England on 11 June 1959. His birth name is James Hugh Calum Laurie. He is 64 years old with the zodiac sign Gemini. Laurie holds British nationality and follows the Christian religion.

They soon found themselves writing and starring on the television sketch-comedy series Alfresco (1983–1984), alongside Robbie Coltrane, Ben Elton, and fellow Footlights performer Emma Thompson.

Laurie’s involvement in Rowan Atkinson’s Blackadder II and other Blackadder sequels (starting in 1986) resulted from that. In addition, he composed the music for and appeared in 26 A Bit of Fry and Laurie episodes.
