In the year 2014, Jin-young was a panelist. She was also in a virtual marriage with Namkoong Min in We Got Married. Namkoong Min is a famous actor, director, and screenwriter from South Korea. Her We Got Married husband later appeared as her love interest in the music video.
In November of the same year, Hong Jin-young released her first EP called Life Note (인생노트). Then in 2016, Jin-young released her second EP called The Most Beautiful Moment in Life (화양연화). Furthermore, the trot singer released a cover of a popular Chinese song The Moon Represents My Heart (月亮代表我的心/월량대표아적심). For her Korean remake of this famous Chinese song, Hong Jin-young wrote the lyrics herself.

Jin-young’s long-time collaborator Jo Young-soo composed this single working alongside the well-known K-pop lyricist – Kim Eana. Jin-young then wrote and composed her second electron single I Kicked My Luck Off (복을 발로 차버렸어) for Kang Ho-dong.
In December of the same year, singer Hong released a trot single about people and experiences in Seoul. It is entitled Seoul (서울사람) and this song is a collaboration with rapper Bray. Then in January 2019, the young trot singer released a ballad titled Love Is… (사랑은 다 이러니).
On 12 January of the same year, singer Hong made her U.S. concert debut. It was at the Pechanga Resort & Casino in California. She had an audience of over 3,000 during this concert.
